Almay Color + Care Liquid Lip Balm
As I was browsing my local Walmart I ran into these new lipgloss balms from Almay. I decided to pick up a few, when I realized the price was only $4.47 I picked up a few more ;)
I bought 6 colors, picture is in order: 500-Pink Pout, 600- Blooming Balm, 200- Nudetrients, 900- Apricot Pucker, 700- Cantaloupe, 800- Rosy Lipped.
I would describe these as feeling like my typical lip balm. They do not feel heavy at all, the color pay off is as expected of a balm but just a little bit more. They can be subtle and provide a tint to the lips or they can be built up (mainly the more bright colors) for more true colors, but I would not say these could be built up at much as these revlon lip butters. My favorite has to be Rosy Lipped, it is a nice rosy
nude and evens out my natural lip color, I guess you
could call it a "my lips but better".
I'm not conclusive on the wear time, but I wore Rosy Lipped for about two hours around the house. The color had faded evenly in that time, but what I really love about these is that it actually feels like my lips are being moisturized. Unlike other "balms", "butters", and "whispers", these actually make my lips feel soft and hydrated, I could easily skip my lip balm during the day when I am out and about for one of these.
I would recommend these if you like this sort of hybrid between a lip color and an actual balm. I would not replace my holy grail lip balm over these, but I would use these throughout the day to keep my lips moisturized. Let me know what you think!
